STUDENTS TESTIMONIALS

My long-held dream of learning music came true the day Manjula agreed to teach me online. I remember feeling both thrilled and anxious. Thrilled because I had finally found a teacher whose music I truly admired, and anxious because I was in the middle of a very demanding phase of life. But from the very first class, Manjula made everything feel so natural and effortless.
What made it even more special was that my daughter and I were learning together. The timing, the pace, the lessons, everything had to flow in a way that both of us could learn and enjoy. And Manjula managed that balance beautifully.
Seventeen months have passed since that first class, and not a single day have I doubted my decision to learn under her guidance. I admire her deeply not just as a musician, but as a teacher and a person. Her patience stands out as one of her most beautiful qualities. It has taught me not only how to sing, but also how to enjoy singing, to find joy in the process, without fear or pressure.
With Manjula, there are no judgments, no rush, and no frowns over mistakes. Only kindness, encouragement, and music that fills the heart.
Learning under Manjula Chechi is truly a unique experience. Her classes are unlike conventional ones—each session is designed with depth, patience, and clarity. She ensures that every raga is well understood, carefully explaining the details of each swara and providing structured learning materials in a professional, academy-style format.
What stands out the most is her patience and dedication. She explains concepts multiple times until we get them right, encourages regular recaps in following classes, and never rushes to the next lesson until the previous one is fully mastered. Beyond traditional lessons, she also introduces unconventional songs, slokas, and even rhythmic patterns, which make the learning journey even richer.
Even in her online classes, the experience is just as effective as learning offline. Her teaching is clear, engaging, and easy to grasp. Above all, she is one of the most humble and knowledgeable teachers I’ve met. Her vast exposure to music brings great value to the way she guides her students.
I feel truly blessed to be her student and would gladly return to her classes anytime. In our busy life her class is a blessing and a great learning
I joined Manju akka’s classes about 1.5 years ago after searching for suitable guidance for quite some time. Each session continues to be a joy- I have found in her a genuine, approachable, and understanding music partner who recognises my abilities and tailors the lessons accordingly. The learning has been immense, and I look forward to every class with great excitement.
I have been interested in music since childhood. I was especially interested in Carnatic music. But I was afraid that I would be able to learn carnatic music. I was afraid and thought that I would never be able to learn carnatic music. During COVID period I had a chance to meet manju akka, woowww... My musical journey began there. I started learning Carnatic music from Manju akka. I got a huge boost of confidence on the first day of class itself. I've never seen a teacher like her anywhere.. My musical journey began there and we continue to travel together to this day. My way of singing changed very professional through her teaching. I thank God for such a talented teacher. I consider it a privilege in my life to meet Manju akka and learn from her. Tears well up in my eyes when I see so many children learning music through her. When I think that I am one of them, what more could I want? Thank you Manju akka…
